Through a partnership with partner foundations and the FSG India team, the programme will help create a business ecosystem where low-cost private preschools are both financially viable for operators and educationally effective for children.
This will be done by:
- identifying affordable business models, and using pilots to test and refine them
- designing interventions to address the enabling environment including regulation, policy and finance
- assembling a network of stakeholders to disseminate good business practices and maintain a functioning market
Impact
By 2022, the programme will give at least 170,000 children the chance to be part of affordable and high-quality early childhood education programmes.
These programmes will make sure children are prepared for success in primary school and beyond.
