$5,738,899 Multi-Year Grant Value
CIFF is supporting Save the Children and its partners to develop active and engaged nutrition advocacy communities in multiple countries. This is done in order to engage and foster nutrition champions, as well as to increase pressure at key moments. They are working with CSOs and others to ensure key Government decision-makers understand and prioritise nutrition.
After the first year of this programme, Save the Children is already starting to see impact. They have:
- Sucessfully developed nutrition advocacy groups made up of civil society in Niger, Nigeria, Netherlands, Australia, Japan and Malawi
- Launched a parliamentary network in Japan with over 75 MP members
- Trained multiple community members in Niger on nutrition budget accountability
- Mobilised the public around nutrition in the Netherlands and Australia with stunts and campaigns
Over the past year, they have also seen nutrition integrated into the national development polices and health policies in Nigeria, Australia and Niger, and the Netherlands made a new commitment of €25 million to nutrition.
