Food production, deforestation and other land use changes account for more than a quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions. Unless land use and food systems become sustainable, the objectives of the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) cannot be achieved.
The Food, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Land Use and Energy Pathways (FABLE) Consortium supports the development of the data and modelling infrastructure for long-term pathways towards sustainable land use, and food systems for countries to develop and implement integrated and ambitious policies for sustainable land use.
The grant aims to achieve food systems that produce sustainable food for healthy diets.
