Exploring the interface between food, climate & nutrition
Multiple countries – Global
To convene a philanthropic meeting to align objectives on land use.
$379,082 Multi-Year Grant Value
Agriculture, land use and land use change accounts for 24% of GHG emissions today. Solutions are emerging, particularly at the interface between food, climate and nutrition, with great potential to reduce emissions and to deliver other benefits such as food security, public health, among others. However, land-based solutions have been severely underfunded (compared to traditional climate sectors such as transport and energy).
The Funders Table provides a platform to kick start a funder discussion on investing in land use and potential investment opportunities.
The grant aims to develop a shared vision and action agenda for sustainable food and land systems that meets development, food security and climate needs.
