Director, Impact Investing
Imraan Mohammed is Head of Impact Investments at Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and is responsible for equity and debt related investments in areas that support CIFF’s programmatic focus.
Imraan has 17 years of experience in managing private equity investments as well as mergers and acquisitions advisory work, primarily in emerging markets. Previously, he was fund manager of Bamboo Capital Partners US$200m global financial inclusion fund, and prior to this he headed the M&A Advisory practice at Enclude. Imraan has completed investments and numerous exits across many geographies, especially in Asia, and multiple sectors including micro finance, SME banking, telecoms, energy and pharmaceuticals. For the last 8 years Imraan has focused almost exclusively on impact initiatives – investing in and growing sustainable businesses with positive environmental and social impact, and subsequently exiting them to strategic or financial buyers.
Imraan read Economics at Cambridge, and more recently completed an Executive MBA at London Business School. He is based in London.
