MANJULA SINGH

Manjula Singh is Executive Director, India, having led CIFF’s work on GIRL Capital as Director since 2019. Till very recently, she also led the maternal and child health, nutrition and adolescence portfolios in India at CIFF. She joined CIFF in 2015, following six years with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (erstwhile DFID) in India as Senior Nutrition and Health Adviser, where she led large-scale sector reform programmes on health, nutrition and WASH and governance with State governments in India. She has also worked with grassroot and not-for-profit organizations on adolescent reproductive health, HIV-AIDS, micro finance, and humanitarian response.
Manjula is a respected development sector leader, with over two decades of strategy, management and influencing experience in gender, health, nutrition, education, skills development and poverty alleviation. She is passionate about the potential of girls all over the world and is committed to helping them be independent and realise their full potential.
Manjula serves on the Board Member of Girl’s First Fund – the biggest philanthropic effort to end child marriage through community-based organisations; and YuWaah! Advisory Board, India, Generation Unlimited. She has been a member of various government advisory committees including the Indian Government’s NITI Aayog’s Vision 2022 Advisory Committee where she contributed to ‘Strategy for New India @ 75’ and ‘3-Year Action Agenda’.
Born and raised in India, Manjula is a post-graduate in Social Work and Public Health.
