Erik is a Johns Hopkins-trained epidemiologist with 20 years’ experience in research and evidence-based programming.  He began his career in neuroscience, before transitioning to humanitarian aid and development, and has lived and worked across Africa and Asia.  Erik joined the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) in early 2019 as Director of Evidence, Measurement & Evaluation, with a goal of sharing his passion for using evidence to effectively reach the under-served more widely.  His current work focuses on adolescent health, education, gender, demographics, and livelihoods in collaboration with a wide range of partners.
