2017 Annual Report
Today we are publishing our 2017 Annual Report, covering a crucial year for CIFF in our pursuit as a catalyst of change in transforming the lives of children and young people living in poverty in developing countries.
Keeping sustainability at the core of everything we do, in 2017 we renewed our emphasis on localisation – in our thinking, the insights we seek, our partnerships and in execution. And we continued to provide philanthropic leadership, building deeper collaborations with our current funding partners, while bringing new donors to our priority issues.
Among several other achievements, in 2017 our investments supported air quality litigation, leading to the first UK Air Quality Plan being published; the establishment of SheDecides, a global movement to protect the rights of women and girls worldwide; and the operational expansion of the Power of Nutrition, a global partnership to fight child undernutrition.
In 2017, CIFF approved 64 new grants with a multi-year value of $165.3 million. Our disbursements totalled $208.3 million and our grant portfolio grew to $1,124.2 million of active multi-year investments.
