Koyel Kumar Mandal

Koyel Mandal is Global Director, Climate. He is responsible for CIFF’s work on clean growth in Emerging Markets and Developing Economies, which includes key markets in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. 

He has experience in designing and implementing programs in energy and food systems transition as well as cross-cutting issues on climate policy and finance. Prior to joining CIFF, Koyel worked at Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation as Chief of Programs where he provided strategic leadership to Shakti across all program verticals. He also worked at the Ocean Conservancy, Institute for Financial Management and Research, GIZ, and G20 Saudi Arabia. 

Koyel’s academic background is in economics and public policy.
