Ahead of the UK hosted Global Partnerships Conference 2026, CIFF’s CEO Kate Hampton joined a new podcast with the Overseas Development Institute to share perspectives on what makes this conference a pivotal moment for partnerships in development.

During the conference, leaders from global governments, development finance institutions, and philanthropy came together to create an important moment to reflect on how international collaboration can better deliver for children in a changing geopolitical world.

On the podcast, Kate notes that, whilst global collaboration has driven decades of progress for children, compounding crises are putting these gains at risk, and current systems are not delivering at the pace or scale required to keep apace with need.

The conversation concludes that what is needed is a renewed approach to international partnership which is country-led and outcome-focused, and mobilises a broader set of actors, including philanthropy, to remain aligned with shared global goals.

The Global Partnerships Conference is an important step towards shaping that vision by bringing together partners to explore how to deliver more effectively, together.
