Kate Hampton speaks at the opening plenary of the UK Global Partnerships Conference 2026
At the start of the UK Global Partnerships Conference 2026, CIFF’s CEO, Kate Hampton, emphasised that the role of philanthropy is to support and strengthen the capacity of governments to deliver, led by national priorities, and working in partnership, to place children at the centre. She reminded the audience that, ultimately, it is outcomes for people that justifies work in the development sector, and that if the sector can establish a better way of working, it will be reflected in the improved lives, dignity, opportunities, and joy of children around the world.
For this conference, CIFF partnered with the UK, the Government of South Africa, and British International Investment, to bring together diverse stakeholders to reimagine the future of development cooperation and international partnerships.
