At the close of the International Maternal and Newborn Health Conference, CIFF are launching the first of our new Learning Across Geographies video series. In this video, Dr Minnie Kibore, Senior Manager of Maternal and Child Health for CIFF Africa and Apoorva Sharan, Senior Manager of Health and Nutrition for CIFF India explore how learning across geographies can accelerate progress in maternal, newborn, and child health.

Across Africa and India, the contexts may differ, but many of the challenges are shared. Health systems must deliver at scale, resources are often constrained, and solutions must be tailored to the communities they serve.

In this discussion, Minnie and Apoorva reflect on:
▪️ How CIFF works as a catalytic, enabling partner alongside governments and local stakeholders
▪️ Why context matters, and what it really means to adapt solutions
▪️ The role of evidence and data in guiding decisions and improving implementation
▪️ How an ecosystem approach of bringing together governments, partners, and funders can unlock greater impact
▪️ What it takes to move from pilot projects to system-level scale

They also share candid reflections on the opportunities and challenges within their regions, from financing constraints to the importance of culturally relevant programme design, and how these realities shape their work on the ground.

Ultimately, this is a conversation about learning across geographies: how experiences in one region can inform another, and how collaboration can accelerate progress toward better outcomes for children everywhere.
